Limited Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty Policy is provided by Bulldog Scooters and applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle from our dealership. This warranty is non-transferable and covers defects in materials and workmanship resulting from regular use, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

1. Limited Warranty Coverage: Electric Units

The following warranties are extended to Electric Units (e-motos and scooters), effective from the date of original purchase:

Frame

6 months to 1 year (Term depends on specific manufacturer/make)

Covers defects in the structural integrity of the main frame only.

Battery

1 year (Parts Only)

Covers the battery against manufacturer defects, including faults in cell, casing, or connection impacting function.

All Other Components

1 year (Parts Only)

Covers all other electrical and mechanical components (e.g., motor, controller, wiring, throttle, display) against manufacturer defects.

Exclusions Specific to Electric Units

The warranty on Electric Units DOES NOT COVER the following conditions:

  • Damage to the battery resulting from overcharging, undercharging, improper storage, or use of a non-approved charger.

  • Water or fluid damage to any electrical component.

  • Failures related to improper initial assembly or setup performed by the customer or an unauthorized party.

 
2. Limited Warranty Coverage: Gas Units

The following warranties are extended to Gas Units (scooters and mopeds), effective from the date of original purchase:

 

Limited Engine Warranty [3 months]

Covers internal lubricated components of the engine block and head, including pistons, rings, crankshaft, and valves, against mechanical failure due to manufacturer defect.

 

Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty [30 days or 100 miles (Whichever occurs first)]

Covers both parts and labor for manufacturer defects and mechanical failures across the entire vehicle under normal use.

 
3. General Exclusions (Applies to ALL Units - Gas and Electric)

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE NULL AND VOID IF THE FAILURE IS CAUSED BY OR RELATED TO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Accident/Damage: Damage resulting from crashes, collisions, abuse, theft, vandalism, fire, or environmental events (e.g., flood, high winds).

  • Misuse or Negligence: Damage due to improper operation, competitive riding/racing, overloading the vehicle, or failure to adhere to warnings in the owner's manual.

  • Unauthorized Modification: Any alteration, modification, or the installation of non-OEM or unapproved parts which changes the original engineering or operating specifications of the vehicle.

  • Maintenance & Wear-and-Tear: The warranty EXCLUDES normal wear-and-tear items and routine maintenance services. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Tires, tubes, brake pads, brake shoes, clutch components.

    • Cables, chains, belts, fuses, bulbs, and spark plugs.

    • Lubricants, fluids, fuel, filters, and routine adjustments.

    • Cosmetic deterioration such as paint finish, rust, or chrome pitting.

  • Lack of Maintenance: Failure to perform required maintenance (e.g., oil changes, chain adjustments, fluid checks) as specified in the owner's manual.

  • Improper Fluids: Damage caused by the use of contaminated, incorrect, or insufficient levels of oil, fuel, coolant, or other operational fluids.

 
4. Warranty Claim Procedure

To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, you must follow the steps below:

  1. Notification: Contact Bulldog Scooters immediately upon discovery of a potential defect.

  2. Inspection: You must return the vehicle to Bulldog Scooters (or an approved service center) for inspection and diagnosis. You may be responsible for transportation costs to and from the service facility.

  3. Approval: All warranty claims must be inspected and approved by our service team before any repairs are made. If the defect is deemed a covered manufacturer defect, Bulldog Scooters will perform the repair or replacement at no charge (for covered components and labor as specified in the warranty term).

  4. Non-Covered Repairs: If the diagnosis determines the failure is due to an exclusion (e.g., accident or misuse), you will be responsible for the cost of diagnosis and all resulting repair costs.
